COFDM Video Links
The benefits of COFDM technology are well known and have been acknowledged as a major step forward in video transmission. ECS has been heavily involved in the introduction of this technology to the market and offer a comprehensive range of transmission equipment.
Since we first developed COFDM links in late 1990s, we have developed our range and now have fourth generation equipment with a growing portfolio of link systems to carry video, data and telemetry signals.
As with all the equipment we supply, the MPEG encoding equipment and COFDM modulators are designed in-house, enabling us to keep full control of quality standards and ensure these meet the requirements of our clients.
Our range of equipment includes:
Full DVBT quality, Dual Channel, Downlink systems operating with spacial diversity; autotracking antennas; GPS mapping; optional substitution cipher encryption; CESG approved Ultracrypt AES 256 bit encryption; ultra compact “bodyworn” systems.
Portable Receiving Systems
To complement the range of transmission equipment, ECS has developed a range of hand-held monitoring and ruggedised briefcase receivers.
The hand-held ‘Handy-View’ unit, has an 8.5in colour display with an integral digital video recorder with compact flash memory. It is available in frequency bands between 1.3 and 5.3Ghz with AES256 or substitution Cipher Encryption and complete with a 6.6Ahr lithium-ion internal battery.
The briefcase unit uses a ruggedised Peli-case to house a 10.5in LCD monitor and has full autonomous operation. The system is frequency agile in the selected band and has similar diversity solutions to the hand-held unit.
